GLENDALE, Ariz. — Arizona Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury will miss Sunday’s NFL game at Cleveland against the Browns after testing positive for COVID-19, the team announced Friday.
Kingsbury, 42, is in his third season as head coach of the Cardinals (5-0), who are the last undefeated team in the 2021 season.
Also testing positive were quarterbacks coach Cam Turner and defensive tackle Zach Allen, KPHO reported. Defensive coordinator Vance Joseph and assistant head coach/special teams coordinator Jeff Rodgers will split head coaching responsibilities, according to the television station.

On Tuesday, linebacker Chandler Jones was put on the reserve/COVID-19 list, the team said.
Kingsbury is the first NFL head coach to miss a game this season due to the virus, NBC Sports reported. The Cardinals currently lead the NFC West.
Kingsbury has compiled an 18-18-1 record with the Cardinals. Arizona went 5-10-1 during his first season before posting an 8-8 record in 2020.
