The GBI says three men—one from Athens, another from Madison County, and a third from Oglethorpe County—have been arrested on child porn charges. Kameron Veasey is 22 years old, from Athens; Bryan Simmons is 30, from Colbert; and James Smith is 26, from Lexington. The GBI says Veasey was already in jail on unrelated charges in Madison County.

Athens-Clarke County Police say K-9 Officer Bruno helped with the arrest of a man suspected of breaking into a cars on King Avenue and Crestview Circle in Athens: Jafari Williams was booked on charges that include entering auto.

There are arson charges for a man arrested in Elbert County: the Elbert County Sheriff’s Office says 37 year-old Edmond Wright is accused of setting fire to a home in Elberton. He is also facing methamphetamine possession charges.

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the deaths of a man and woman whose bodies were found in a car outside a business on Georgia Highway 60: detectives in Gainesville say it appears both were shot to death in what looks to have been a murder-suicide.

A woman was killed and a man injured in a Tuesday afternoon crash on in Hall County: the two-vehicle accident happened on Highway 13 in south Hall. The injured man was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.
