No word on cause of death

There is a sad end to the search for a woman reported missing in Banks County: 42 year-old Amanda Hall was last seen last Friday. The Sheriff’s Office in Homer says her body was found in woods in Banks County. There is no word yet on the cause of death.

From WSB TV…

Deputies have made a grisly discovery in the case of a missing woman.

Amanda Hall was last seen in Banks County on April 23. She was originally from Baldwin County and had ties to White County.

On Wednesday, deputies conducted a “grid search” in a heavily wooded area near where she was last seen and that’s where they found the body of the 42-year-old woman.

Banks County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division and the Banks County Coroner’s Office are working together to determine the cause and events surrounding her death.

An autopsy is scheduled for later in the week.
