A Franklin County man pleads guilty to a murder charge: 31 year-old Billy Whitworth (pictured) gets a 20-year prison sentence for the shooting death of Michael Ehlers. Ehlers was killed at his home in the Gumlog community in Franklin County.

Monday was sentencing day for DeMarvin Bennett: Bennett, convicted last Friday for the 2019 murder of Hall County businessman Jack Hough, gets life in prison. Hough was shot and killed in a robbery outside a pharmacy in Gainesville.
