New outlaw country music docuseries to debut at SXSW next month

The new country music documentary will feature Miranda Lambert, Eric Church and more.

The country music singer-songwriter and three-time Grammy Award winner has sold her music catalog.

The new 10 part docuseries, “They Called Us Outlaws” which has been 10 years in the making will make its debut at the South by Southwest Festival March 15th. The series follows some of the original outlaw country singers and writers and how they turned a small movement into a beloved genre.

Fans will see exclusive never before seen footage of some of their favorite country singers. Plus the series includes appearances by Miranda Lambert, Eric Church, Jessi Colter and Kris Kristofferson. The pilot episode follows the story of outlaw country pioneer Waylon Jennings.

It’s not clear yet where fans can stream the docuseries, but the docuseries creators are expected to make that announcement soon.
