Following in the footsteps of teen heartthrobs before him, Shawn Mendes has reportedly covered “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You.”

However, as Vulture’s Justine Curto writes, “Unlike Patrick Verona in ’10 Things I Hate About You,' Mendes has no girl to get, so his Frankie Valli cover is just a reminder that, yes, he and Camila Cabello are hopelessly in love.”

Curto writes that in addition to “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You,” Mendes also performed his current single “Wonder” in the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge.
