Nearly 20 years after dropping his hit song “Watching You” about his son, Rodney Atkins announced that he is releasing a duet with his son, who is now grown up.

“I can’t believe we’re here. We’re finally doing the duet version of Watching You. I think this song came out in 2006,” he announced in a video clip on Instagram.

“Almost 20 years later, my oldest son Eli, who I wrote the song about, is singing the choruses with me.”

“Watching You 2.0” is coming on May 23rd!
