Dec. 8, 1980, John Lennon was killed in front of his home, The Dakota, in New York City. Today we celebrate his life and music!

John Lennon was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 1988 as a member of The Beatles and again in 1994 as a solo artist. In 1997 he was inducted into the Songwriters Hall Of Fame. John Lennon won 7 Grammys as both a solo artist and with The Beatles. He ranks # 5 on Rolling Stone’s list of the “100 Greatest Singers Of All Time” and #38 on their list of the “100 Greatest Artists Of All Time”. As a performer, writer, or co-writer, John Lennon has had 25 #1 hits on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. He has 2 albums on Rolling Stone’s list of the “500 Greatests Albums Of All Time”, “John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band” and “Imagine’ which rank 22nd and 76th.

On the 40th anniversary of his death, we celebrate the life and music of John Lennon!
