Chipotle Just Brought Back Pollo Asado — And Added Chili Lime Chips

Chipotle Chili Lime Chips

It’s a good day to be a Chipotle fan!

For the first time in the brand’s history, Chipotle is launching two limited-time menu items at the same time: the return of Pollo Asado and the debut of Chili Lime Chips.

🌶️ Pollo Asado Is Back — With a New Recipe

Pollo Asado returned to Chipotle restaurants on August 31, but this time there’s a new recipe.

The chicken is freshly grilled and seasoned with garlic, Mexican spices and hand-cut cilantro before being finished with citrus and real lime. Chipotle says the result is a savory, smoky flavor with a brighter citrus finish.

🍋 Say Hello to Chili Lime Chips

The bigger surprise might be the Chili Lime Chips.

The new menu item was inspired by a food hack that has taken over social media. Chipotle says fans have been using seasoned chips to scoop up their bowls, crush them over their food for extra crunch or even turn their meal into a “walking taco.”

With so much buzz, Chipotle decided to make the hack official:

The Chili Lime Chips are tossed fresh daily with real lime and chili seasoning.

🌯 Chipotle Has a Recommended Combo

If you’re not sure what to order, Chipotle’s culinary team has already picked a pairing.

The recommendation is a Pollo Asado bowl with white rice, black beans, roasted chili-corn salsa and guacamole, served alongside the Chili Lime Chips.

📱 Here’s Why You Should Try Them Today

If you’re planning to order Pollo Asado for delivery, Chipotle is offering a $0 delivery fee on qualifying Pollo Asado orders placed through its app or website from August 31 through September 13, although additional terms and fees may apply.

So... are you trying the new Pollo Asado, the Chili Lime Chips, or going all-in and ordering both?
