The 2025 CMT awards are cancelled

The 2025 CMA awards, recognizing and awarding outstanding music videos, has been put on halt this year.

Paramount Global is entering a merger with Skydance Media, which is causing multiple shows to get cancelled.

The MTV EMAs, Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards Mexico, and the MTV MIAWs will all be cancelled.

Carrie Underwood is the most awarded artist, with ten Video of the Year awards.

Since the CMT awards will not be happening this year, country music will have the CMA awards, ACM awards, and People’s Choice Country awards, which happen later in the year.
