With only 86 days left until the University of Georgia kicks off the 2016 football season in the Georgia Dome against the University of North Carolina, take a moment to Know Your Bulldogs.
The No. 86 jersey in the UGA locker room belongs to early enrollee freshman wide receiver Riley Ridley. In a bit of a surprise - on multiple fronts, - Ridley finds himself playing in Athens as opposed to Tuscaloosa beside his brother.
Ridley is the brother of Calvin Ridley, who broke out last season as a true freshman for the University of Alabama, and is now considered one of the best WRs in the sport going into this fall. Many assumed the Florida high-schooler would wind up committing to Alabama because of his brother, but then something strange happened back in December... Riley committed to the University of South Carolina.
Only a few days later, Ridley decided to shock the recruiting world for the second time in a week, when he flipped his commitment to the University of Georgia, set to be an early enrollee and begin classes in Athens only a couple weeks later. Which he did.
Now, after a very successful spring and a tremendous showing a G-Day, many are anxiously awaiting this fall to see if Riley can have a similar impact on Georgia's passing game that Calvin did for Alabama right out of the gates.
This will be one of the players to watch going into fall camp, and especially on the first Bulldogs possession in the Georgia Dome, because there is a decent chance he will be on the field then.
