Eve is reportedly opening up about her four stepchildren, saying she is very grateful for her “bonus children.”
The 42-year-old rapper married British entrepreneur Maximillion Cooper in June 2014 after four years of dating, PEOPLE Magazine reports, becoming stepmom to his four kids from a previous relationship: Jagger, Lotus, Mini and Cash.
Eve tells PEOPLE “she feels ‘lucky’ to have had that instant family — though it took some getting used to at first.”
The rapper adds, “It’s been now 10 and a half years I’ve been in their lives and they’ve been in my life. They’ve grounded me. In the beginning, when I first met my husband, then-boyfriend, I was like, ‘This is never gonna last because you got four kids! How’s this gonna work?’ But then I met the kids and honestly was like ‘Wow, kids are amazing.’”
