A gravelly voiced country singer/songwriter and American Idol winner, Chayce Beckham parlayed his reality show triumph into mainstream success with the release of his chart-topping 2021 single "23." After building momentum with a string of singles and an EP, he delivered his debut album, Bad for Me, in 2024.
The California native, who cites Jim Morrison, Bob Marley, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, and Waylon Jennings as influences, was crowned the season 19 winner of the popular singing competition after besting runner-up Willie Spence. Shortly after that, he released the self-penned "23," followed by the heartfelt ballad/duet "Can't Do Without Me" with Lindsay Ell. Beckham issued his debut EP, Doin' It Right, in 2022, which featured the hit song "Tell Me Twice." Additional singles followed, including "Keeping Me Up All Night" and 2023's "Little Less Lonely," as Beckham built toward his first album. Bad for Me, his full-length debut, was released in April 2024 and reached 33 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart. ~ James Christopher Monger
