Walker

Walker was born and raised in Cobb County, Georgia. He attended Cobb High School and played a little basketball while partying with the band after games. (They throw the best parties after all!) For some reason Walker was not recruited to join the hoops team at UGA. He thinks it had to do with the fact he only averaged 0.8 points per game. However, he blames politics and favoritism.

Walker did attend UGA in 1996, and took up residency at the City Bar across the street from the Georgia Theatre. It was in 1998 that Walker took a trip to Mardi Gras in New Orleans and met his wife on Bourbon Street. (True Story)

Walker then discovered that he liked music, and loved to tell jokes that were not that funny. A radio career was born. Walker has lived and worked in New Orleans, Greenville, SC and Atlanta before returning to WNGC and The City Bar last year.

Walker now lives in Gainesville with his wife (yep... the Mardi Gras girl) 2 kids and a dopey chocolate lab. He plays today's best country and all your favorites from 10am-2pm weekdays. He loves UGA sports, and also spends time checking out the Atlanta Braves, Hawks, and the San Francisco 49ers. (One of these things just don't belong here).
